Second Nature Filter Program Update!

Over the last four years, Second Nature has been designing a new air filter and is excited to share it with you now!

They are currently shipping these improved air filters in 4 sizes (16x20, 16x25, 20x20, 20x25) with a MERV 8 rating, and ramping up production over the next year. Residents will begin receiving these as their filter size becomes available. Once a property receives the new and improved air filter, they will continue to receive it going forward.

Some high-level benefits of the new air filter:

2.5 times the media surface area = lower resistance on your HVAC systems, better protecting them, and reducing overall HVAC maintenance tickets.
It can be installed in either direction.
The damage rate of these new air filters is close to 0%. This thing is designed to bend!
The flex lock frame allows the filters to be condensed. This not only makes it easier for the resident to unpackage but also significantly reduces the environmental impact from a packaging and shipping standpoint, lowering waste in the system.

The new cloth-covered, flex lock frame is supported by strips of spring-tempered steel in thin sleeves of polyvinyl and generally quieter than a regular filter. It allows a tighter seal in the intake vent and prevents air from sneaking around the sides of the filter. This provides better air filtration and reduces or eliminates whistling noise.
